After high school, I went to Iowa State. I was in ROTC there and after graduation, I served 5 years as an Air Force officer. I was married to a fighter pilot and lived in Texas, South Carolina, England and North Carolina. Eventually, I moved back to Ames with my three kids and worked in sales there. I married Pete ten years ago and gained three stepsons. I've worked off and on for Rockwell Collins and last year began teaching at Kirkwood Community College. Pete is a manager at Rockwell Collins and a pastor at our church. We have led the youth group for 9 years and dearly love our church family. We are also showchoir parents and travel to competitions with the choral parents group to support our kids. I still have family in Fort Dodge and in Ames so we visit central Iowa often.
