How did you happen to select/end up in your career?

I split from the FD area in 1981 and needed to find a career to support myself and my children. They were quite young so I decided I should just get a 2 yr degree. I chose health care (maybe because my mom and sister were nurses) and went to the community college in Cedar Rapids. They happened to have a AAS degree program in Electroneurodiagnostics (EEGs and related tests). Having always thought the brain to be cool and interesting, I decided to enroll in the program. I am still doing that work...it has been a very good fit for me. A good blend of technology and patient care...no two days are the same, so it keeps it fresh!

Larissa, Christiana, Aaliyah...all Jerod's girls. Brooke doesn't have any children

Everyone just stay calm...

Communication is essential...for progress, anyway!

You can't change other people, you can only change yourself
