Phil Tacker

Phil Tacker, 28, 630 2nd St. NW, Fort Dodge, died Sunday morning at the Trinity Regional Hospital emergency room following an accidential electrocution at his home. 

Survivors include wife, Charlotte; sons, Jeremiah, Lucas, and Aaron; parents, David and Carolyn Tacker, Fort Dodge; grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Leon Chronister, and Fraline Barker, all of Chariton; sisters, Janet Smith and Diane Tacker both of Fort Dodge, and Shelley Lane, Hastings, Minn.

Phil Tacker was born at Chariton.  He attended school there until moving to Fort Dodge with his family.  He then attended Fort Dodge schools, graduating from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1980.  He attended Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge and married Charlotte Siemer in 1982.  The couple made their home in Fort Dodge where he worked as a mechanic at Smithway Trucking Company.

Phil and I were good friends and he was a great guy! He was a guy you could count on, trust and know that if you talked with him he would be making you smile. I always was happy that he and Charlotte were together. They were such a fun and loving couple! They made each other so happy and seemed to really truly belong together!! It was a tragic loss when Phil died. But the world is a better place from him being here!

Phil was always a great guy. I can't imagine the pain his family went through at the time of his death. It would have been great to see him with the rest of us at the 30 year class reunion.
