On Thursday, January 17, 2013, after a long battle with leukemia, Charles lost his life at home.
Charles was born March 13, 1961. He attended Fort Dodge Community Schools. After graduation he and a friend traveled the Western states. He then joined the Army, where he was honorably discharged. He worked at U.S. Gypsum for many years, retired and moved to Indianola where he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his three children, Matthew (Allysa) Halbach, Eric (Ashley) Halbach, Katie Halbach and granddaughter Lillyanna; mother, Rose Ann Halbach; sister, Sandra (Pete) Porter; sister, Tammy Anderson; and many loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father Neville (Skip) Halbach and many other loved ones. His smile, laughter and good sense of humor will always be remembered and in our hearts.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Rolling Hills Baptist Church, 2891 N. 15th. Street, Fort Dodge, at 11:00 a.m.
NORWALK - Memorial services for Charles William Halbach, 51, who died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at home, will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, January 20 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his wife, Angie; children, Matthew (Alyssa) Halbach, Eric (Ashley) Halbach and Katelyn (Jamie Hester) Halbach; granddaughter, Lilyana; father and mother-in-law, Timothy and Deborah Benge; brother-in-law, Josh (Farrah) Benge; sister-in-law, Christy (Todd) Willson; mother, Rosanne Halbach; sisters, Sandra Porter and Tammy Halbach; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Chuck, you will always be remembered well.
