I'm shocked and saddened by this news.  I can' even fathom Rod and your four son's heartache and how hard it had to be for you to say goodbye to them.  You were a classmate that I always regretted not staying connected with and that I didn't get to know you better.  I remember your mom waiting on me at First American Bank (might have been called something else back then) and I remember that both your parents passed away at a young age.

You had such a great laugh and always a smile on your face.  I really enjoyed seeing the photos on Facebook of you and your family at Lake of the Ozarks.  I'm so happy that you and Rod retired early and have had extra time together these last years.  I remember trying to get you guys to come to class reunions, but it never worked out.  It would have been so nice to reconnect with you.  I'm thankful that you had a great career and a great family and lived life to the fullest.  I pray that your family can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit and that they can find comfort in the happy memories you made with them.
